Ok. Are you tired of your readers pointing out little typos in your blog post? Did you type ‘ti’ instead of ‘to’? That’s a frequent typo for me. Well, today a lady actually suggested that I use an editor. It’s not that she couldn’t understand what I intended to say, it’s just that she doesn’t want the pesky little typos to distract my readers from my message. I can appreciate that!
So, we at Carolina Blogging would like to remedy this little issue. One possible solution is: the CB Editors Guild (CB, standing for Carolina Bloggers, of course). The purpose of the guild is to provide a second pair of eyes before you post your blog. We aren’t that concerned about content… write what you want. We just want to make sure that you don’t write ‘out’ when you really mean ‘our’… another one of my common typos.
The way we envision this is we will establish an email list. Whenever you finish your blog, copy/paste it in an email and send it to the distribution list. Hopefully, someone will be able to read it within the hour and get back to you with any typos they find. In return, you must do the same for other bloggers. Pretty simple, huh?
I can see some concerns with this system, so I am open to suggestions on how we can perfect it. Until then, lemme know what you think.
Discussion: Are you interested in joining the guild? How can we make it work?
